I know what you’re thinking…for $72, this fish better come wrapped in gold! And how could a $72 trout be an easy gluten free dinner recipe? This meal did cost us $72, but only because we have yet to prove our amazing fishing skills this year :). $72 is what it cost my husband and I to get our fishing licenses and so far we have caught two fish…enough for this meal. It tastes great, but I would much rather change the name of this to $1 trout! To keep the cost down, you may decide to get your trout from the grocery store, although I can’t guarantee that will be as fun as catching it yourself. Here fishy, fishy, fishy…
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 red onion, sliced vertically
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Filet the trout and squeeze the juice from one lime over the top of both. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and lay the onion over the trout. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily.
